Hristo Tenchev, XS Software CEO – SoftUni’s Mécénat2014-06-12

January 2014, Sofia, Business Center Stefan Karadzha. The first public workshop-based university for developers opens its doors. At the end of 2013, the Software University (SoftUni) was found by Svetlin Nakov and XS Software CEO Hristo Tenchev with the idea of setting a brand-new trend in the contemporary education system. Both of them strive for the education to serve the needs of the people and business before the need for administration and bureaucracy of the educational institutions.

Trainings are practically oriented, with daily homework exercises, real-life team projects and tests. Through learning by doing real skills are acquired in addition to the standard theoretical knowledge and professional realization at the labor market is mediated. All lectures, videos, and training materials are posted online for free Internet training. There is an admission-free course starting with the basics of programming that helps the students in their career guidance and counseling while taking their work-life solutions. The SoftUni is partnering with several accredited universities like MT&M Colleague, Varna Free University, etc. and is negotiating international certifications abroad.

Hristo Tenchev and Svetlin Nakov believe in the power of practice and the strength of the people learning by doing curiosity. They know they are on right track.
